Our Story
They say necessity is the mother of invention, well that could not be more true for me! About 14 years ago, my husband and I were dissatisfied with our marriage. It just wasn’t fun anymore. We knew something was wrong, but didn’t know how to fix it. Something had to change, but we didn’t know what or where to begin. That same year, my husband was a part of a fantasy football league. One Sunday as he sat on the couch with his laptop open, the remote in one hand and his cell phone in the other, passionately screaming at Tom Brady and “trash talking” to his friends, it dawned on me that we needed a change in perspective!
We needed to see ourselves as teammates and not rivals. We needed to view our challenges as opportunities for growth. We needed a better understanding of one another and a greater appreciation for our individual differences and collective strengths. We needed to work together to get back to a place of mutual satisfaction and enjoyment. We needed to develop our communication and problem-solving skills and we needed a plan/strategy to help us get there. We needed guidance and support to make sure we could maintain our progress and with our busy schedules, we needed a convenient way to do it. What we needed was Marriage Champs!

Who are you?: Hi, you can call me Dr. Leslie, Dr. G or Dr. Griffin. I’m a marriage fanatic and hopeless romantic!
What do you like to do for fun?: I enjoy listening to 90s music, watching True Crime TV and TLC (Dr. Sandra Lee is my best friend, but she doesn’t know it yet😁).
Do you have any marriage advice?: Of course! The key to happiness in marriage is a good sense of humor and a bad memory!

What do you like to do for fun?: I like to travel, stay active and attend sporting events.
Do you have any marriage advice?: Yes! Husbands should always have the last word (and those words should be, “yes dear.”)
